The inlaid mosaic patterns of the Hexmozaix II tiles contain all the permutations of three colors, with two regions of each color on each hexagonal tile.  Each tile consists of 3 chevrons and 3 diamonds (see sample at right). The color system thus results in two chevrons of the same color, forming a sort of "Y," two diamonds of another color, and the third color having one chevron and one diamond. When combined with the original Hexmozaix tiles, which contain a chevron and a diamond of each color, wonderful color lines and patterns change and flow.
The handbook shows a wealth of figures to form with all 30 tiles. You can also play larger versions of the strategy games when you combine the tiles from both sets.
