Perplexing Pyramid puzzle:   rule sheet

Len Gordon's Perplexing Pyramid has only one solution, though two pieces can be switched symmetrically. We then worked out many other simple figures to build with the six pieces, including two-dimensional shapes and some mutant almost-pyramids, as illustrated below. What makes this puzzle so tricky is that the pieces have square angles while the pyramid shape appears to need triangles.
