Naming the Hexominoes
The 36 Sextillions pieces (35 unique hexominoes plus one duplicate) are the shapes of six squares joined on their edges. We have given them names that are easy to remember, expanding on the original alphabet system used for the pentominoes. Here are their official names and their division into 6 squares:



Here is how the hexominoes look without the lines marking their division, with just their pure silhouette shapes. They are shown in the position and order that make them especially easy to visualize. Every letter of the alphabet except B is used.
 



After you've played with the Sextillions set for a little while, you'll be able to recognize any piece by name even when it's upside down and backwards or in any of up to 8 different positions on the grid.
