  • For its ninth year, the International Festival of Mind and Doris Championship, a competition of creativity featuring our Doris puzzle, took place in seven European countries: Italy, Austria, Slovak Republic, Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia.

    The project, Festival of Mind, is organized annually under the auspices of the Provincial Secretariat for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities-National Communities in cooperation with MENSA Serbia and the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management, FIMEK, Novi Sad. The City of Novi Sad, Kadon Enterprises, Inc. and Avax Corp. were sponsors.

    Beginning in October 2018 and organized by Zdravko Zivkovic, the creator of Doris, the 9th annual competitions ran for nine months. The works of the competitors were evaluated by an international jury made up of ten prominent Mensa members from the United States, Greece, Slovenia, Serbia, and Australia, among them Kate Jones from U.S.A. and Teja Krasek, an artist from Slovenia.

    The Grand Final awards were presented on May 11, 2019, in the Great Hall of Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Serbia (above). The solemn celebration ceremony was hosted by the Provincial Secretariat for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities-National Communities.

    Marsel Germeri, 1st Place winner for "Volleyball" (Croatia)

     
    Marko Andrek, 2nd Place winner for "Swan" (Serbia)


    Vuk Popadic, 3rd Place winner for "Horseman" (Serbia)


    Aleksander Cavazza, 4th Place winner for "Football Player" (Slovenia)

     
    Maria Elena Baba, 5th Place winner for "Crown" (Serbia)
